We asked students in Avid what unique activities they participated in over the summer. The upperclassmen showed their leadership abilities over the summer: Alexis  participated in Seminar for tomorrow’s leaders, Sean Mitchell dog sat 7 dogs and 4 cats for a whole week at Julianna Hodge’s house, Emily Henley met and helped someone in need at the Good Samaritan Project service retreat , Rashard Williams visited his grandmother in Georgia, Nyah Waters a finance student received a summer Internship with Achieva credit Union, and Alanna Morrison roamed the vast countries of Europe for two weeks. The underclassmen traveled out-of-state this summer: Bethel Miles went to Chicago and Mitchell visited Jamaica. Overall these students have had an eventful summer and will use these activities to benefit this school year.
